Bale Mountains National Park (BMNP) is a national park in Ethiopia. The park encompasses an area of approximately 2,150 km2 (830 sq mi) in the Bale Mountains and Sanetti Plateau of the Ethiopian Highlands.

The park’s Afromontane habitats have one of the highest incidences of animal endemicity of any terrestrial habitat in the world. The park was nominated to the World Heritage Tentative List in 2009.

Planning ahead for a visit to Bale Mountains National Park in Rira, Ethiopia is essential. Here are some tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your trip: * Research in advance the best times of year to visit - there will be fewer crowds when travelling in low season, but also consider if there are any seasonal weather restrictions. * Book accommodation beforehand - contact local tourist agencies or do your own research about lodges, campsites and other accommodation options. * Bring sturdy walking shoes and enough supplies for an overnight stay should you decide to camp. * Check which activities can be done at the park before your arrival so that you can plan accordingly- from trekking trails and horseback riding to birdwatching or wildlife safaris! * Pack appropriately - bring layers of clothing as temperature fluctuates during the day depending on altitude level.
