Visit East Falkland

The East Falkland of the Falkland Islands is a rugged and beautiful British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic Ocean. The largest island in the archipelago, it's home to diverse wildlife from penguins to elephant seals, as well as a wide variety of landscapes ranging from rolling grasslands to steep hills. Popular attractions for visitors include historic sites such as Port Louis, home to some of the oldest colonial buildings on the islands; wonderful beaches like Surf Bay Beach and Rocky Point Beach; and stunning nature reserves such as Volcanic Pond Nature Reserve and Garibaldi Hill Nature Reserve.

East Falkland also has an interesting history. In 1982, it was one of two main battlefronts during the Falklands War between Britain and Argentina. Today, visitors can learn more about this conflict by visiting local memorials such as Stanley Memorial Park or touring nearby sites like Goose Green Battlefield Site.
