Discover Le Creusot

Le Creusot is a commune in the Saone-et-Loire department of France, located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region. It is renowned for its impressive industrial heritage, which dates back to the 19th century. The city has preserved its rich past with many monuments and buildings from this era now classified as historical monuments.

The major attraction of Le Creusot is Montchanin Castle and Park, an 18th century chateau set among expansive parkland. Here you can explore the castle courtyard, gardens and also visit the nearby Lac de la Gare - a lake popular for its swimming spots in summer months. Another interesting spot to explore include Saint Etienne Church, which was built between 1863 and 1872 in a neo-gothic style by architect Paul Abadie Junior.

If looking for an activity during your stay then be sure to head towards Eglise Notre Dame Du Chene where you can take part in one of its local markets or regular concerts held during summer months at Maison de La Culture et De La Communication venue - great place if looking to enjoy some music while taking in scenic views over town's rooftops!
