Occitanie is a region of Southern France located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean and bordered by Spain and Andorra. It is known for its stunning landscapes, cultural diversity, rich history and vibrant cities. The city of Montpellier is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Occitanie where visitors can explore medieval architecture or spend time in its many parks.

Toulouse is another major city to visit in Occitanie; it has an old town that's filled with cobblestone streets, colorful houses and a variety of restaurants serving delicious French cuisine. Tourists also flock to Carcassonne for its medieval walled city with castles, ramparts and cobblestone streets.

The Languedoc-Roussillon area was home to some of Europe's oldest human settlements dating back over 10,000 years ago. Occitanian culture has been deeply influenced by this long history as well as by Spanish, Italian and Germanic influences from nearby countries. Today visitors can enjoy a wide range of cultural activities such as festivals celebrating food, music, theatre and dancing.
