Perpignan is a charming city located in the southernmost region of France, near the border with Spain. It boasts some of the most spectacular coastal scenery to be found in Europe and a long history that dates back to Roman times. Perpignan has a bustling old town with narrow cobbled streets lined with pastel-coloured buildings and several squares filled with outdoor cafes and restaurants. The city centre also houses an impressive Gothic cathedral, Palais des Rois de Majorque, which was completed in 1324 by King Jaume II d'Aragon.

Visitors can take advantage of many attractions including the Via Domitia Archaeological Park featuring remains from ancient Roman settlements; Castillet, an iconic 14th-century building situated on one end of Place de la Loge; or even jump on board one of the "Petit Train" services for unique tours around the city's most interesting spots. Shopping enthusiasts will enjoy browsing through boutiques offering local products such as wines from Maury or Roussillon vineyards and traditional Catalan dishes like Escalivada (roasted vegetables) or Calcots (charred green onions). With its stunning scenery, excellent cuisine, lively culture and plenty of things to do and see - Perpignan is definitely worth visiting!
