Toulouse is a city in France's Occitanie region, located on the banks of the Garonne River. It is renowned for its unique pink-brick architecture, earning it the nickname "La Ville Rose" (The Pink City). It has a lively atmosphere with roots in both French and Spanish culture.

The city offers plenty of attractions to explore such as Place du Capitole, its main square where visitors can admire the old town hall or take a stroll along the grand promenade lined with shops and cafes. There are also many parks and gardens which can be found throughout Toulouse, providing visitors with an opportunity to relax amongst nature.

Visitors should also plan on visiting Basilique Saint Sernin, an 11th century Romanesque church containing one of Europe's largest crypts as well as frescoes dating back to 1290. The Museum of Augustins is also not to be missed; housing artworks from masters such as Rubens and Poussin alongside gothic sculptures from when Toulouse was known as 'the Rome of the south'. Finally, no trip would be complete without tasting some traditional Occitan food at one of Toulouse's many restaurants!
