Avignon, located in the south of France, is a city full of history, culture and beauty. Sitting on the banks of the Rhone River and surrounded by walls built in 1364, Avignon offers visitors a unique blend of medieval charm and modern convenience. It has been an important center for art and culture since the 14th century when Popes made it their home.
