The Ogooue-Lolo people of Gabon are a Bantu ethnic group located in the western part of the country. They are primarily subsistence farmers, living in small rural villages. A majority of their population is concentrated along the Ogooue River, which provides them with an abundance of fish and game.

For visitors to Gabon, a great way to learn more about the culture and history of Ogooue-Lolo is by visiting Mitzic, one of their main urban settlements. Here you'll find traditional wooden architecture and beautiful landscapes with lush vegetation. The local market offers plenty of souvenirs where travelers can buy arts & crafts created by local artists such as masks and pottery pieces.

Another interesting location to visit is Lambarene, known for being Albert Schweitzer's home during his time in Gabon as a medical doctor and missionary from 1913 to 1965. His legacy lives on in this city today through the Albert Schweitzer Hospital he founded there over 100 years ago that still functions today providing free medical care for those in need!
