Gibraltar is a small British territory with its own unique culture, fascinating history, and some of the most breathtaking scenery in Europe. Located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula on the Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar is just 6.8 square kilometers and is a short plane ride away from major European cities.

Gibraltar is an important point of contention between Spain and Britain as it has been fought over many times throughout history. One interesting fact about Gibraltar is that it is one of only two countries in the world that are represented by non-human residents: a species of ape known as the Barbary Macaques, which live in the upper rock area of the country.

When visiting Gibraltar, there is plenty to do and see. Major points of interest include St. Michael's Cave, a limestone cave with gorgeous stalactites and stalagmites; The Great Siege Tunnels, built by the British during the Great Siege of 1779-1783; and Europa Point, the southernmost tip of Europe with stunning views of Africa.

In addition to these well-known attractions, there are also much more to explore such as Trafalgar Cemetery and Moorish Castle. Trafalgar Cemetery holds monuments dedicated to those who have passed away throughout Gibraltar's history while Moorish Castle offers visitors an intriguing glimpse into its Moorish past.
