Dimitsana is a small, picturesque town in the Western Peloponnese region of Greece. Located in the Vouraikos Gorge, Dimitsana is known for its unique beauty, rich history and cultural heritage. The area surrounding Dimitsana was part of ancient Arcadia and has been continuously inhabited since antiquity.

Visitors to Dimitsana can explore several historic sites located around the town including an 11th century Byzantine Monastery, a Medieval tower as well as old churches and monasteries dating back to the 16th century. Take a stroll through the cobblestone streets of this old village while admiring its traditional architecture with whitewashed houses that feature roof tiles made from river stones and wrought iron balconies adorned with colorful flowers.

A must-see attraction while visiting Dimitsoana is an impressive water powered clock built by master craftsman Ioannis Kakonas in 1827 which stands to this day near the entrance of St John's church. Nearby visitors can also enjoy numerous outdoor activities such as hiking or mountain biking down some scenic trails through lush forests that offer stunning views over the gorge below.
