Visit Saint John Parish


The Saint John Parish of Grenada is located on the southwestern portion of the island, and is known for its lush green landscapes, stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, and local culture. The area is home to some of Grenada's most popular tourist attractions such as Grand Etang National Park with its crystal clear lakes, hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. The parish also boasts a number of historical sites like Fort Matthew, an 18th-century fort built by the British to protect against French attacks. Visitors can explore the fort's ruins along with a nearby museum that features artifacts from this period in history. Other interesting tourist spots include Levera Beach which offers excellent swimming opportunities or a visit to River Antoine Rum Distillery where visitors can sample some local rum and learn about Grenada's long tradition of rum production.
