Visit Saint Patrick Parish

The Saint Patrick Parish of Grenada is an important part of the Caribbean nation's history, culture, and economy. Situated on the south-western coast, it is one of nine parishes formed in 1650 by French colonizers. The stunning mountainous terrain makes for a diverse range of exciting tourist attractions. Among them are Annandale Falls and Levera National Park - both great places to explore Grenada's lush rainforests and beaches. A visit to River Antoine Rum Distillery will give visitors a glimpse into the area's prominent rum production industry that dates back to 1785.

At its heart lies the city of Gouyave where visitors can take part in its yearly Fish Friday celebration which showcases local seafood dishes as well as live music and dance performances. Another interesting historical fact about Saint Patrick Parish is that it was once home to many Carib Indians who left behind numerous villages scattered throughout the parish.
