Visit Guernsey

The Guernsey region of France is a stunningly beautiful archipelago located in the English Channel, just off the coast of Normandy. It's been a longterm holiday destination for many Europeans as it offers a great mix of culture and history, along with plenty of opportunity to get out and explore the islands.

To begin your exploration, start by visiting Castle Cornet which is an old fort built in 1206 by Philippe de Savary, then follow up with Hauteville House which was once home to Victor Hugo during his exile from France. Both places offer amazing views across St Peter Port harbour.

For some interesting history, look no further than Guernsey's role in WWII where it successfully resisted occupation by German forces despite its geographic proximity to Nazi-occupied Europe - something that's still remembered today through various museums and monuments throughout the island.
