Visit Fejér County

Fejer County is located in central Hungary and is home to the Lake Velence and its surrounding wetlands, the largest lake in the country. It's popular with tourists for its sunny beaches, excellent fishing, and boat rentals. The county also has several castles to explore - most notably Szekesfehervar Castle - which was once a royal residence of Hungarian kings. One of Fejer County's oldest sites is near Szekesfehervar: the ruins of an early Christian church built in 384 AD by Saint Quirinus of Sesca Vara.

The city of Szekesfehervar also has a long history as an important political center; it served as capital of Hungary from 1001 until 1540 when King John I moved the capital to Buda. There are many charming towns throughout Fejer County that are worth exploring such as Ocseny or Szazhalombatta for their unique local artisans and cultural events like Hungarikum Fesztival (Hungarian Festival). So whether you're looking for outdoor activities or learning about Hungary's past, Fejer County offers something for everyone!
