When visiting Rangapara, one must experience the beauty of its local wildlife. The nearby Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary provides visitors an opportunity to view various species including elephants, wild buffalo and rhinoceroses as well as many different varieties of birds. The nearby tribal villages provide insight into the cultures of their people through music, dance, song and art all unique to this region.
Another must see while visiting Rangapara is Tilinga Mandir (Temple). An ancient Hindu temple that comes alive during annual festivals when thousands gather at its gates - singing songs praising Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali who are worshipped here in abundance. There are also a few remaining royal Palaces - such as Dinjan Palace - which were once owned by kings providing visitors with an insight into past splendors of this area's rich cultural heritage.
