Tezpur, a small city in the state of Assam, India, is situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra River. It's known for its diverse cultural heritage and for being home to several ancient temples as well as archaeological sites. Tezpur also has many tea gardens and is an important trading centre in Eastern India.

For tourists visiting Tezpur, there are a number of attractions to experience such as Agnigarh Hill. This hill is said to be where Prince Aniruddha kept his beloved Usha confined according to Hindu mythology. The ruins from this hill offer spectacular views over the city and it's also a popular picnic spot. Another worthwhile attraction while in Tezpur is Mahabhairab Temple; one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva which dates back more than 1,000 years ago according to local legends. Lastly, visitors can take advantage of two nearby National Parks - Kaziranga National Park and Nameri National Park - offering wildlife safaris through some very scenic terrain with opportunities for bird-watching too!
