Udalguri is a historic city in the state of Assam, India. It sits at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas and is located near the Brahmaputra River. The city is steeped in history; it has a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva which dates back to the 6th century. Udalguri is a popular tourist destination due to its many scenic attractions including tea gardens, riverside views and picturesque villages nearby.
