Tura is an old city located in the West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya state in India. It is famous for its natural beauty and rich culture, with a history that dates back to the 8th century. There are many Hindu temples and monasteries, giving it a religious atmosphere. The scenery around Tura is dominated by lush green mountains, lush valleys and winding rivers which make it a popular tourist destination.

The main attraction here is the Rangsakona Falls, which is situated on the outskirts of town at an elevation of 2200m above sea level and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area as well as being a popular spot for trekking and bird watching. Another must-see attraction in Tura is Tura Peak, India's second highest peak after Kanchenjunga located just outside of town and offering stunning views from its summit. Lastly visitors can experience traditional Garo tribe culture during their stay in Tura by visiting some of their ancient villages or witnessing festivals such as Wangala Festival which celebrates music and dance among other cultural activities.
