Visit East Nusa Tenggara

East Nusa Tenggara is a province of Indonesia located in the southeastern region of the country. It consists of more than 500 islands, with Flores and Sumba being the two largest. The area is known for its pristine beaches, lush rainforest, and beautiful coral reefs. Popular tourist activities include fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving at sites such as Pink Beach on Komodo Island and Belongas Bay in Lombok.

In addition to its natural attractions, East Nusa Tenggara also offers an interesting history. Komodo Island was once home to a complex network of megalithic structures dating back to around 2000 BC - making it one of the oldest archaeological sites in Indonesia. The island was also once part of the Buddhist kingdom that dominated much of Eastern Indonesia during Medieval times. Other historical sites include former Portuguese fortifications on Timor island and ancient rock carvings throughout Sumba which have been inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
