Visit Jambi


Jambi is a province of Indonesia located on the east coast of Sumatra. It is bordered by Riau to the north, South Sumatra to the south and Bengkulu to the west. Home to many native cultures such as Malay, Javanese and Minangkabau, Jambi offers fascinating sights and experiences for travelers. With its dense rainforests and beautiful waterfalls, it's a great place to explore nature. Tourists can visit the Muaro Jambi archaeological park which was built in 8th century AD when Buddhism flourished in Indonesia or take a boat ride along Seberang Musi river for breathtaking views of mangrove forests. The city center of Jambi also has some interesting colonial-era architecture worth checking out. An interesting historical fact about this region is that it was once part of an ancient maritime trading kingdom known as Malayu or Melayu which existed from around 400 AD up until 1500 AD when it was absorbed into Srivijaya Empire
