Visit West Nusa Tenggara

West Nusa Tenggara is a beautiful Indonesian province located in the Lesser Sunda Islands. It's known for its stunning beaches, lush temples, and vibrant culture. The two most popular tourist destinations are Lombok and Sumbawa Islands. Lombok Island is well-known for its white sandy beaches, breathtaking views of Mount Rinjani, and traditional Sasak villages. Meanwhile, Sumbawa Island offers picturesque mountains, cascading waterfalls and clear blue bays to explore.

History buffs will appreciate that West Nusa Tenggara was first recorded by Chinese traders as early as 6th century AD. During the 16th century it was part of the mighty Majapahit Empire which ruled much of today's Indonesia until 1527 when it fell to the Dutch East India Company. Nowadays visitors can explore ancient temples such as Pura Lingsar or Cakra Negara Mosque to get a glimpse of this region's fascinating past.
