Bushehr Province is located in southwestern Iran, along the Persian Gulf. It is one of the oldest provinces of Iran, with a rich cultural and historical heritage that dates back to the Achaemenid Empire. Its capital city is Bushehr, which is also home to several historical sites. Tourists can explore the old fort of Naseriyeh, which was built during the reign of Naser ad-Din Shah Qajar and was used as a garrison for the military forces. The nearby Qeshm Island features some stunning landscapes and beach areas. Other popular tourist attractions in Bushehr include Piroozi Castle, Portuguese Castle on Hormuz Island and St Mary Church in Kishm Island.

For history buffs, Bushehr boasts an interesting past as it was once part of Persia before Alexander the Great conquered it during his conquest of Asia Minor. During World War II, it became an important port for Allied forces who wanted to deploy their troops against Iraq and other neighboring countries. Today, Bushehr remains an important port town with industrial activities such as oil refining and petrochemical industries making up most of its economy.
