Qazvin Province is a province in Iran located northwest of Tehran, the capital city. It has a population of over 1 million people and is known for the unique architecture, cuisine and culture. The province boasts many tourist attractions including UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Alamut Castle, Chehel-Sotoun Palace and Vank Cathedral.
Chehel-Sotoun Palace was built during the Safavid dynasty with its beautiful frescoes depicting scenes from Persian mythology.
