Visit Razavi Khorasan Province


The Razavi Khorasan Province region of Iran is an area full of historical and cultural significance. Located in the northeast region of the country, it is bordered to the north by Turkmenistan. It encompasses a vast area known for its many tourist attractions such as ancient monuments, Islamic shrines and mosques, and natural beauty.

Two popular places to visit in Razavi Khorasan are Mashhad, which is the provincial capital city and one of holy cities in Iran with several important religious sites like Imam Reza Shrine Complex; and Kalat County which is home to some of the oldest settlements in Central Asia dating back thousands years ago.

An interesting historical fact about this vibrant province is that it once served as a vital stop on the Silk Road trade route throughout Asia during medieval times.
