Visit Haifa District

The Haifa District of Israel is a stunning coastal region that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. It offers many tourist attractions, such as the beautiful Baha'i Gardens, which are terraced gardens filled with colorful flowers and trees that cascade down Mount Carmel. The Baha'i World Centre can also be found here, as well as a variety of museums and galleries to explore. Haifa was first inhabited around 9000 BC and has been home to many civilizations since then. In 1947 it became part of the newly established State of Israel, making it an important historical site for Jews throughout the world. Additionally, from 1942-1945, the city served as a major port for ships headed to Palestine in an effort to help Jewish refugees escape Nazi persecution during World War II. Today it continues to be an important cultural center in Israel with its diverse population and vibrant culture.
