Discover Nemi
The main attraction in Nemi is the Temple of Diana that sits atop one of the nearby hills. This temple was built over two thousand years ago to honor Diana, goddess of hunting and nature. There are also several other monuments from antiquity including a circular temple and an amphitheater that are worth visiting while in town.
In addition to its rich history, visitors to Nemi can enjoy some delicious local cuisine such as fried lake fish served on freshly-made focaccia bread or boiled artichokes drizzled with olive oil. There are also plenty of markets offering fresh fruits, vegetables and other local specialties such as prosciutto di Parma or Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Visitors can also take advantage of recreational activities like sailing or fishing on Lake Nemi which is home to carp, bass and pike species among others
