Discover Milan

2.9 million

Milan is the second-largest city in Italy, known for its fashion, finance, and culture. Situated in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, it is an important economic hub and a major international business center. Visitors are drawn to Milan because of its renowned architecture such as the Duomo di Milano--the world's largest Gothic cathedral--and La Scala opera house. It's also home to some of Italy's most iconic fashion houses including Armani and Prada.

No trip to Milan would be complete without a visit to the Piazza del Duomo - one of Europe's largest public squares - as well as admiring works by Michelangelo at Santa Maria delle Grazie church which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Art lovers should take time out to explore Brera - one of Milan's most picturesque districts - where classic Italian artwork can be found alongside vibrant shops and restaurants. Foodies should make sure they sample some traditional Italian fare such as pizza or pasta while they're here too!
