Visit Saint James Parish

Saint James Parish is a beautiful area of Jamaica located just south of Montego Bay. It is known for its stunning beaches and resorts, as well as its rich cultural history and local food.

For tourists, there are plenty of places to visit, such as the Greenwood Great House, an 18th-century sugar plantation set among lush gardens. Nature lovers should check out the Green Grotto Caves, an extensive system of limestone caverns with crystal clear water pools and underground lakes.

Historically speaking, Saint James Parish is home to the historic town of Falmouth. Founded in 1769 by Captain Thomas Reid, it was one of the first towns built in Jamaica and served as a trading port for sugarcane during colonial times. Today it's home to a number of historical sites including churches and slave burial grounds where visitors can learn about Jamaican culture and history.
