Discover Iyo

Iyo is a small city of around 30,000 people located in the Ehime Prefecture in Japan. It has been inhabited for centuries and is known for its beautiful landscapes and traditional buildings. The city's main attractions include the Sultan Shrine, which was built in 1710 to honor a local warlord; the Niihama Taiko Festival, held every summer that features traditional Japanese drum performances; and the Shimanto River, which runs through Iyo and offers stunning views of nature. Nature lovers may also take part in activities such as fishing at Yabase Lake or visiting local hot springs. For those who wish to explore more history, there are two castles located nearby - Matsuyama Castle and Uwajima Castle - both of which offer magnificent views over Iyo's countryside.
