Discover Tsurugi-asahimachi

 
Tsurugi-asahimachi is a city located in the Fukuoka Prefecture of Japan. It is nestled between the towns of Kurume to the east and Ukiha to the west. The city has a population of about 45,000 people and covers an area of around 99km2.

Tsurugi-asahimachi lies in a mountainous region, so visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. There are also plenty of hot springs (onsen) to explore nearby.

The city is home to several important cultural sites, including Tsurugi Castle, which was built in 1617 and once served as a stronghold for the Kuroda clan during the Edo period. Other attractions include Oryudo Park with its beautiful cherry blossom trees; Kumamoto Fruits Land featuring a variety of fruit orchards; Ushio Shrine with its ancient history dating back 2000 years; and Saifukuji Temple which houses Jodo-shu Buddhism's largest temple bell in Kyushu island.
