Visit Aqmola

Aqmola, also known as Astana, is the capital of Kazakhstan. Located on the banks of Ishim River, Aqmola serves as a hub for trade and tourism in the region. It is home to many monuments and tourist spots like Saryarka Velodrome, Bayterek Tower, Khan-Shatyr Entertainment Centre and Palace Of Peace And Reconciliation.

Aqmola is known for its awe-inspiring architecture that blends traditional Kazakh style with modern elements. There are plenty of cultural events held here all year round such as Yrlyk Art Festival and Nurly Zhol International Music Festival.

An interesting historical fact about Aqmola is that it was founded in 1830 by Russian Cossacks as a fortress called Akmolinsky Ostrog before it became the capital city of Kazakhstan in 1997. Tourists visiting Aqmola should not miss out on exploring its rich culture by visiting places like National Museum of Kazakhstan or going for a leisurely stroll at BaikonurCosmodrome pedestrian bridge - an architectural marvel inspired by traditional Kazakh folk art styles.
