Visit Baringo County


Baringo County is located in the Rift Valley region in northern Kenya. It's home to stunning landscapes and wildlife, which makes it a great destination for tourists looking for an African safari getaway. The region's Lake Baringo is particularly popular with visitors, as it offers spectacular birding opportunities, fishing spots and unique boat rides on traditional canoes.

Another popular tourist destination in the county is Kapenguria Town. It was here that Jomo Kenyatta (Kenya's first president) was arrested and tried during the Mau Mau struggle for independence. Today it boasts a museum dedicated to his memory where visitors can learn more about this important chapter of Kenya's history.
