Visit Narok County

The Narok County of Kenya is situated in the southern part of the country and is known for its vast savannah grasslands. It borders Tanzania to the south and Kajiado County to the east, as well as neighbouring counties Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho and Bomet. The county also boasts many game parks such as Masai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park that are popular tourist attractions due to their abundance of wildlife like elephants, lions and leopards. Other popular sites include Lake Naivasha National Park which has a large variety of bird life - flamingos, pelicans and cormorants - while Hell's Gate National Park offers an exciting landscape with many volcanic features like towering cliffs and spires.

Narok County has a rich history too; it was once part of an ancient Maasai settlement in the 17th century before being colonized by British settlers in 1904 during their campaign against rebellion in East Africa. Narok County is now home to one of Kenya's most diverse cultures with strong traditions still evident today amongst the local communities living there.
