Visit Malishevë

Malisheve is a region in Eastern Kosovo located close to the Macedonian and Albanian borders. The town of Malisheve itself is known for its Ottoman era architecture, cobbled streets, and mosaic-tiled facades. It also has many cultural attractions such as the Dardhani Castle ruins which date back to the 9th century. Visitors can explore the ruins of this once mighty fortress or take part in activities such as hiking and biking through the rolling hills that surround it.

Other tourist attractions include Elez Han Mosque, one of Kosovo's oldest mosques which was built in 1573 by Sultan Suleiman I, and Lumbardh Waterfall which offers stunning views of rural life. Both sites are within easy reach from Malisheve city center and make for great day trips or weekend excursions with friends or family.

An interesting historical fact about Malisheve is that it was one of five cities liberated during World War II by Yugoslav Partisans under Josip Broz Tito's command back in 1944. As a result, there are many monuments scattered around Malisheve dedicated to those who lost their lives fighting for freedom during this time period.
