Xhamia e Llapit, located in the heart of Pristina, is one of Kosovo’s most beautiful mosques. Built during the Ottoman Empire’s rule in 1803, its design combines elegant Baroque and Rococo influences. The towering minaret reaches an impressive 34 meters into the sky and can be seen from all areas surrounding it. The inner courtyard offers a tranquil atmosphere with its lush landscaping highlighting ornamental fountains and statues. Inside, visitors will find an exquisite marble mihrab (niche) as well as a stunning chandelier that hangs above it. While visiting Xhamia e Llapit, make sure to take some time to admire the intricate detailing on its exterior walls - depicting religious scenes and calligraphy - or perhaps take part in one of the regular prayer services held inside.
