Visit Zubin Potok


Zubin Potok is a municipality situated in the north of Kosovo. It lies between the Ibar and Lepenac rivers, nestled in the historic Metohija region. Tourists can explore its majestic mountain landscapes by visiting one of its many monasteries, such as St. Jovan Bigorski which offers incredible views over the entire region or Decani Monastery, founded in 1327 by King Stefan Decanski. Additionally, there's Grmec Mountain with a peak of 1,244 meters and nearby lakes offering activities such as fishing and swimming during spring and summer months. Plus, Zubin Potok has some interesting historical facts; it was an important strategic point on the medieval road from Nis to Dubrovnik as well as being part of Serbia under Ottoman rule until 1912 when it became part of Austria-Hungary until 1918 when it was liberated by Serbian forces after WWI.
