The Jahra Governorate is a region located in northwestern Kuwait. It is known for its nearby desert and mountainous landscape. Visitors to Jahra can explore the many archaeological sites such as the historical ruins of Sulaibikhat or take a trip to Lake Khiran, the largest man-made lake in Kuwait.

Jahra also has an interesting history, as it was once home to many nomadic tribes that settled along the banks of Wadi Al-Batin river. During World War I, Jahra became an important military post for British forces who sought to protect their interests in Kuwait from Ottoman aggression.

Another popular tourist attraction near Jahra is Subiyya Park - a public park that offers stunning views of Lake Khiran and its surrounding mountains. Tourists can enjoy walking trails, playgrounds and picnic areas at this park; there are several activities available such as fishing and boating on the lake too! Lastly, don't miss out on visiting Old Jahra Town with its historic mud buildings still standing today!
