Visit Attapeu Province

Attapeu Province is a province in Laos located in the south-east of the country. It is home to a diverse range of cultures, languages, and ethnicities. The capital city is Attapeu, which is situated on the banks of the Nam Phao River.

The province offers a variety of attractions for tourists including national parks, waterfalls, and beautiful landscapes for hiking and cycling. In particular, Dong Ampham National Biodiversity Conservation Area is home to many endangered species such as tigers, leopards and black bears. Other popular places to visit include Tadlo Waterfall Park with its picturesque cascading waters; Samanea Beach where you can enjoy some sunbathing; and Semongkong Cave with its amazing limestone formations.

In addition to its natural beauty, Attapeu Province also has a fascinating history that dates back centuries ago when it was part of an ancient kingdom that existed long before French colonialism began in neighboring Vietnam. In fact, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Laos - Wat Dun Mungkorn Thong - can be found here at Ban Napho Village near Attapeu City which was built over 200 years ago!
