Visit Oudomxay Province


The Oudomxay Province of Laos is a stunning region located in the northwest of the country, near the border with Thailand. Home to many diverse landscapes, from lush mountains and densely forested valleys to open grasslands and riverside plains, it provides plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventure.

An interesting historical fact about Oudomxay Province is that it was one of three provinces ceded to French Indochina by Siam (Thailand) during the Franco-Siamese War in 1893 as part of the Treaty of Bangkok.
