The Thaba-Tseka region in Lesotho is a stunning mountainous paradise with plenty of activities and attractions to keep visitors entertained. Located in the south-eastern part of the country, Thaba-Tseka offers a range of natural wonders, including Mount Qiloane - the highest mountain peak in the area. It's also home to four large game reserves, providing ample opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing.

Visitors can take a tour of Bushman painting sites such as Tsoelike Cave or explore one of the many waterfalls scattered throughout the region, including Mapholaneng Falls. Another popular attraction is Sehlabathebe National Park - a vast protected area featuring breathtaking highland scenery.

Thaba-Tseka has an interesting historical background; its name is derived from two sesotho words meaning 'mountain' and 'to eke out', paying tribute to how precolonial Basotho peoples managed land resources sustainably at subsistence level to survive harsh conditions imposed by colonial powers during that time.
