Visit Thaba-Tseka District


The Thaba-Tseka District is located in southeastern Lesotho, and is known as the gateway to the majestic Maloti mountain range which serves as a backdrop to many of its spectacular views. It is home to stunning waterfalls, scenic views of rolling hills, and some of Lesotho's most unique wildlife. Tourists will be able to explore the Grand Drakensburg Mountains, visit crystal clear rivers for swimming or fishing, or take an off-road trip through rugged terrains.

A notable historical fact about Thaba Tseka district is that it was once part of South Africa during British rule in 1884 but was later incorporated into Lesotho in 1966 after independence from British colonial rule.
