Visit Grand Kru
The Grand Kru region of Liberia is located in the southeastern part of the country and borders Cote d'Ivoire. It has a population of just over 140,000 people, and covers an area of about 8,500 square kilometres. The main industries in this area are agriculture and fishing.
The Grand Kru region offers many tourist attractions that visitors can enjoy while visiting the country. One interesting historical fact about the Grand Kru region is that during Liberia's civil war from 1989 - 2003 it was one of only two regions out of fifteen that did not experience any fighting or violence due to its far removed location from other built-up areas at the time.
