Visit Darnah


The Darnah of Libya is a coastal city located in the northeastern corner of the country. It has long been an important trading port and is now a popular tourist destination for those looking to experience traditional Libyan culture. The city center contains many ancient buildings, including an old Ottoman fort, as well as colorful markets and bustling cafes. Nearby there are several stunning beaches, perfect for swimming or sunbathing in the warm Mediterranean climate.

For history buffs, Darnah offers plenty of interesting sights such as the ruins of Qasr Jirafi Castle and Dar al-Hamra Mosque where you can learn about Libya's Islamic heritage. And not to be missed is the A'shabah Cemetery, one of the oldest cemeteries in North Africa where locals have buried their dead since Roman times.
