Visit Sabhā

The Sabha region of Libya is a diverse and vibrant area located in the center of the country. It's made up of six cities, including Sebha, Tuwal, Sibaha Gheryan, Kufra, Al-Jafra and Obari. The region has a rich culture and history that dates back to ancient times.

One interesting place to visit in this region is the ancient archaeological site at Tagiura. Here you can explore ruins from one of the earliest civilizations known as Garamantes who lived in this area thousands of years ago. Another popular tourist spot is Fort Qasr Habbaniyah which was built by Ottoman ruler Muhammed Ali Pasha in 1845 and still stands today.

An interesting historical fact about Sabha is that it was once part of an ancient trading network called Saharan caravan routes which connected North Africa with Europe and Asia dating back to medieval times. These caravans were also used by desert nomads for transportation across the Sahara desert for centuries until modern roads were built in present day Libya replacing them as a means of transportation.
