Discover Baltoji Vokė

 
Baltoji Voke is a small village located just outside of Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. It lies on the banks of the Neris River, known for its picturesque landscape and rich cultural heritage. The village's history dates back to 1454 when it was first mentioned in documents as Baltoji Vokea.

The village is home to several monuments and historic sites that are great for visitors to explore. One notable example is the wooden Church of St Catherine, which dates back to 1750 and features intricate wood carvings and an impressive gothic tower. Other attractions include a beautiful park with walking trails along the riverbanks and a memorial dedicated to local soldiers who died during World War II.

In addition to its historical sites, Baltoji Voke also offers many opportunities for recreation including biking trails in summertime, fishing spots at various points along the riverbank, swimming pools in nearby villages, kayaking or canoeing trips downriver from Vilna Gauja National Park as well as numerous restaurants offering delicious traditional Lithuanian cuisine such as dumplings called "cepelinai" or "kugelis" - potato pudding made with grated potatoes boiled in oven.
