Rasos is a city located in central Lithuania, about 11 miles northwest of Vilnius. It has a population of around 8,000 and covers an area of nearly 10 square miles. It has been inhabited since at least the 10th century and was first mentioned in written records in 1387. The surrounding area is known for its peaceful atmosphere and abundant greenery, which makes it a popular destination for visitors seeking to escape the bustle of larger cities.

The center of Rasos is notable for its Church of Saint Casimir from 1635 which serves as a major landmark in the city. Dating back to medieval times, this structure had previously served as part of a monastery complex founded by King Vytautas.
