Visit Dowa District

The Dowa District is located in Central Malawi and was created in 2005. It is bordered by Kasungu to the northwest, Lilongwe to the southwest, and Mchinji to the south. The main town in this area is Dowa Boma, and most of its population consists of agricultural workers.

Dowa offers a variety of activities for tourists visiting the area. Explorers can also visit Kamuzu Dam which provides an opportunity for boating or fishing with some stunning views of rolling hills nearby.

Along with its natural attractions, visitors can experience some unique culture here as well; Ntcheu district has two major settlements that speak different languages: Chewa and Tumbuka people making co-existence between them possible along with other tribes living within their vicinity such as Yao's from Mozambique who settled here during mid 19th century from Nkhota-Kota . An interesting historical fact about this region is that it was an independent kingdom called Ngonde Kingdom before British colonization in 1895 which explains why there are still many ancient ruins dotting this district today
