Neno is a district of Malawi, located in the southern region of the country. Neno is the smallest district in Malawi, covering an area of just 181 square kilometres. It is bordered by Nsanje District to the south and Balaka District to the north-east.

One of Neno's main attractions is its natural beauty - it boasts lush green forests, rolling hills and stunning views over Lake Chilwa. There are several tourist sites worth visiting while you're there, such as Kuwali village which offers traditional dances and performances, or Lake Chilwa where you can find a variety of wildlife such as hippos and crocodiles.

Neno also has some interesting historical facts; during colonial times it was part of an important trade route between Mozambique and Africa's interior. It also hosted missionaries from Germany who brought with them Christianity in 1895.
