Johor is a Malaysian state located in the southernmost part of the Malay Peninsula. It has a population of over 3 million people and is home to Johor Bahru, its capital city. With its prime location close to Singapore and other neighbouring countries, Johor has become one of Malaysia's most visited areas.

For tourists, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. Visit the beautiful Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm, where you can learn about crocodiles and even have your photo taken with them! If shopping is your thing then head to Johor Bahru City Square for some great bargains on local goods.

The history of Johor dates back hundreds of years with many ancient ruins scattered throughout the area providing insight into its past as an important trading hub for Chinese immigrants between the 15th and 17th centuries. The Sultanate Palace was also built in 1866 by Sultan Abu Bakar who helped turn it into a major centre for business activity and development along Malaysia's coastlines.
