Located in Johor, Malaysia, Tangkak is a small and peaceful town surrounded by lush green hills. It has a population of around 45,000 people, who are predominantly Chinese. As a consequence of its location, the town boasts an idyllic rural atmosphere and is known for its natural beauty.

One of the most popular tourist attractions in Tangkak is Gunung Ledang National Park. This protected area offers visitors trails to explore the numerous waterfalls and jungle-covered mountain peaks that make it so unique. In addition to the national park, there are also several temples scattered around Tangkak that draw attention from both tourists and locals alike. The Cheng Hoon Teng Temple is one of the oldest Chinese temples in Malaysia while Sri Mariamman Temple serves as an important Hindu venue for prayer ceremonies during special occasions such as Deepavali or Thaipusam.

As well as being renowned for its natural beauty and religious sites, Tangkak is also home to many delicious restaurants serving traditional Malaysian cuisine such as nasi lemak or char kway teow.
